This policy explains which cookies and equivalent technologies infocrypto.site uses, what they are for, how long they last and how to control them. The site is operated from Spain, so it follows article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services (LSSI), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the GDPR) and the Guidance on the use of cookies published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
What a cookie is, and which equivalent technologies are used
A cookie is a small text file that a site stores in your browser and that the same site — or a third party whose resources load on the page — can read back later. It exists to remember information between pages or between visits, from a language preference to an advertising identifier.
The rules are not limited to cookies: they cover any technique for storing and retrieving data on a user's device. The following may also be involved here:
- localStorage: a browser store, similar to a cookie but not sent to the server with every request, which persists until it is cleared. InfoCrypto uses it to remember your cookie decision.
- Tracking pixels (web beacons): one-pixel images or code fragments that, when loaded, tell a third party that the page has been viewed. Advertising systems use them to measure impressions.
- Device identifiers: technical details of the browser that, taken together, are used for advertising fraud control.
All of these are subject to the same rules: apart from the strictly necessary ones, none is activated without your prior, informed and freely given consent.
Types of cookie
By ownership. First-party cookies are managed by the owner of this site; third-party cookies are managed by another entity — in our case, Google — which receives the data obtained through them.
By duration. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies remain for a period set by whoever issued them, which may range from minutes to months, until they expire or until you delete them.
By purpose. Technical or necessary cookies enable navigation and basic functionality, including managing consent itself, and are exempt from the consent requirement. Preference cookies remember settings such as language or visual theme. Analytics cookies quantify visits and aggregate behaviour. Behavioural advertising cookies store an interest profile used to tailor ads. On InfoCrypto there is a single first-party technical cookie; the rest are third-party cookies serving an advertising purpose.

This site uses no social network cookies, no Meta pixel and no affiliate links from exchanges or wallet manufacturers.
How to accept, reject and withdraw consent
On your first visit you will see a consent banner with two equally accessible options: accept or reject. Until you choose, no advertising scripts load and no cookie is installed other than the technical one storing that decision. Closing the banner or continuing to browse does not count as acceptance.
To change your decision at any time, return to this page and use the cookie settings link in the site footer, which reopens the banner and lets you switch option. Alternatively, clearing the site's data in your browser removes the preference stored in ic_cc and the banner will reappear on your next visit.
Consent is requested again after twenty-four months at the latest, in line with the criteria of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Most browsers also offer private browsing, which discards cookies when the window is closed, and third-party tracker blocking. Settings are per browser and per device: blocking cookies on your laptop has no effect on your phone.
What happens if you reject cookies
Rejecting cookies does not restrict access to InfoCrypto's content in any way. Every guide, the glossary, the frequently asked questions and the calculators work exactly the same, because the site is static and needs no cookies to show you an article.
What does change is this:
- Advertising. If you reject advertising cookies you may still see ads, but they will not be selected according to your interest profile. Non-personalised advertising typically generates less revenue, and that revenue is what keeps the site running; we mention it for transparency, not as pressure to accept.
- Measurement. Without analytics cookies we cannot tell which guides are useful or which pages need improving, beyond very basic server statistics.
- A recurring banner. If you also block local storage, we cannot remember your decision and the consent banner will reappear on every visit. It is an unavoidable technical consequence: the only way to remember that you said no is to store on your device that you said no.
Blocking all cookies at browser level may, on the other hand, affect other sites that do rely on them for signing in or keeping a shopping basket.
Data processing arising from cookies
The data collected through third-party cookies (identifiers, IP address, pages visited, device characteristics) is processed by Google Ireland Limited in accordance with its own policies, in part as an independent controller, and may be transferred outside the European Economic Area under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses.
