About InfoCrypto
Independent crypto education, with no tokens, no referral links and nothing to sell.
InfoCrypto is an independent educational site about cryptocurrency and the technology underneath it. It exists because most writing on this subject is produced by people who profit from your decisions, and that shows in what gets said and what gets left out.
What we publish
33 guides and 5 tools covering how blockchains work, wallet security and custody, the mechanics of buying and trading, decentralised finance, mining and staking, and tax and regulation. Everything is free and requires no account.
What we will never publish
- Price predictions. Nobody can forecast the price of a volatile asset, and the people who claim to are selling something.
- Buy or sell recommendations. We are not regulated to give advice and we do not know your circumstances.
- Affiliate or referral links. Not to exchanges, wallets, or anything else. Where we name a product, it is because naming it is necessary to explain something.
- Sponsored content. No project has ever paid for coverage here, and none will.
- Token promotion. We hold no position in what we write about and run no token.
How we work
Guides are researched from primary sources — protocol documentation, published specifications, regulator guidance and peer-reviewed research — in preference to secondary commentary. Where a question is genuinely contested, we say so and set out the positions rather than picking the tidier one. Where we do not know, we say that too.
Every page carries a “last reviewed” date. This field moves quickly: protocols change, tax guidance is updated, and platforms fail. A page that has not been reviewed recently should be treated with corresponding caution, and we would rather show you that date than hide it.
Our position on risk
We are not crypto evangelists and we are not sceptics looking for reasons to dismiss it. The technology is genuinely interesting and genuinely useful in a narrower set of cases than its promoters claim. The asset class is extremely volatile, largely unregulated in most jurisdictions, and full of outright fraud. Both of those statements are true simultaneously, and any source that only tells you one of them is not worth reading.
You will find risk warnings on every page. They are not legal boilerplate we resent including; they reflect what we actually think.
How the site is funded
Display advertising through Google AdSense. Advertisers are selected programmatically by Google, not by us; we do not know in advance who will appear and we do not endorse them. Ads never influence what we publish. Because we take no affiliate revenue, we have no financial interest in whether you open an account anywhere.
Corrections and contact
This subject moves fast and we get things wrong. If you spot an error, email hello@infocrypto.site with the page URL and what is incorrect. Substantive corrections are made and noted on the page. See our editorial policy for the full process.
